6.0 LS2 Engine, 400HP 400ft/lbs
With the 4spd auto the top speed is 175 mph, 4.6sec 0-60 time, and a 13.5 quarter mile time. From reviews the handling is very good, as well as the brakes.

I drove the GTO today....here are my opinions
1. GTO was faster 0-60 but didnt smoke the tires any better than my a4 that was a surprise since the GTO is a m6
2. Top end from a 50 mph roll no way it beats my 01 ss
3. My SS sounded much better @ full thottle
4. GTO rode more smoother
5. SS looks better
6. SS monsoon system sounded better
7. GTO interior looked better, much more high tech.
Overall very nice sports car could have got it for 29,000 but since performance is close and the SS has t-tops think I will just stick with the camaro

They run about the same times as a stock LS1 F-Body.
Handle roughly the same.
The GTO is simply a designer performance car. More along the lines of an M3. Comfort and power.
How are your tires?? Maybe that is why you can smoke 'em better.
Either way, I am not a fan of smoking them unless I am sitting still or showing off for a camera. Otherwise I want to just GO!!
Nice cars for sure.
Wouldn't trade my WS.6 for one though. Would make for a hell of a daily driver if I lived in a warmer climate though.

Yes they are IRS and wheelhop is a serious issue with them. Part of the challange is the tiny wheels/tires they come with and the difficulty of getting wider ones to fit.

GTO is as fast as a LS1 maro but waaaaaaaay more luxurious. Different type of car.
rrgray8 are you comering stock camaro exhaust to stock GTO exhaust? because if you don't then there is NO point...

typo, it was supposed to be "comparing"
anyway, stock vs stock GTO's exhaust sounded to me waaaaay better
you can mod anything that's why there is no point of comparing stock to modified IMO hence my question about your exhaust

The interior in them is amazing, but 400hp and high 13s is kinda sad.

it's not supposed to be a vette, it's a perfect road trip car, not a track racer

only around 350 rwhp and about 500 lbs heavier than an F body. Why is that kinda sad. Plus the bigger displacement offers more versitility when modding than the LS1 offers. L76 manifold and L92 heads with a medium sized cam will net you around 500rwhp with headers, intake and exhaust.
