how far you drive to work

ah what the hell, thinkin about buying this house thats 55 miles from work.
we like it cuz its quite, no neighbors, cheap, and near a lake.
just wondered what everybody drives one way or both ways to work ?

I drive 62 miles one way, and that doesn't count the driving I do once on site, or around town if needed.

When I first started with this company it was ~85 mi one way.

Would your drive be all highway, city streets or mixed?

I drive 49.5 miles one way to work it takes me about an hour. I look for a job closer to home every day!

ahh, lol. Living on a ship i would walk 20 feet to work, 50 to eat

shore duty rocks though

i ride my bicycle one way 10miles everyday......i ride at least 20 miles a day.

im tryin to stay out of traffic as much as possible, so alot of back roads but still shortest way.

well i drive about 25 miles each way, but close to 600 +/- miles each week for work.

another reason i'm hesitant about getting a new car. i would feel terrible putting that many miles on it each week!

yeah, when i got our new ride i didnt want to drive it to work at all.
i got my little nissan, its been dependable so i been drivin it for nearly a year.
put 30,000 miles on it. mostly back and forth to work.

i like to think so, i swim on mondays, wed, and fri for at least a mile and run on tuesday and thursday for at least 6. I ride my bicycle to the store the bar, anywhere pretty much.

I don't know how some of you guys can drive so much. Not that it is a bad thing i just can't do it. I have a lead foot and burn through gas, so i mine as well put that lead foot to the pedal.

You ever consider getting a motorcycle for such a long commute, not even a new one, just a beater that will help save money in the long run?
