    Hot peppers

I got some peppers at a local farmers market. No idea what they are but they are small, one orange and one green. I think these things I have ever had in my life. I took a bite of just the tip and my mouth burned for more than an hour. If I took even a small bite I couldn't stop drinking water. Anyone experience peppers this hot or have an idea of what kind they may be?

Not sure as there are a lot of different peppers. A picture would be helpful. But, I can tell you that drinking water only makes it worse

probably a tabasco pepper....my grandpa used to raise those and they would light your ass up. I told my little brother one was a baby carrot when he was about 6 or 7 because it was orange. He bit into it and cried for hours. I got a really good ass beating out of that but it was worth it.

Yeah the orange one may have been a habanero, the green maybe a jalapeno. Depending on how sensitive you are to spicy foods, a jalapeno shouldnt have screwed you up that bad. They're not hard to eat by themselves, without liquid. A habanero on the other hand is pretty high up on the heat scale. Dont ever try a ghost chili.

I like some hot things but this was not what I was expecting from such a small bite that I took. Buffalo Wild Wings has some nice hot bbq ribs.Click image for larger version.

Don't drink water after eating a hot pepper. Drink milk, eat cheese or bread. Water only makes it worse, but dairy or bread helps relieve the agony.

i've gone through a good deal of blairs after death sauce. also his salsa de la muerte. He has MUCH hotter varieties than the after death sauce.

They're just a sweet pepper soaked in vinegar basically. (Pepperoncini that is) Of course, this is coming from a guy who will randomly take a swig of vinegar.

Stuff is good! I'm stuck on Balsamic though. Love the sweetness. Also, learned a lesson, there's a huge difference between store brand and name brand vinegars.

Loved it since I was a kid. It's funny, but, I don't seem to care for Balsamic But you're right about store brand and name brand vinegars.
