Homemade Hummer
A lot of you have probably (hopefully) seen this before but in case some of you haven't I'll post about it.
This guy claims he's always wanted a Hummer, can't afford one, so he decided to fab his own..
I check the thread every few months to see the progress the guy has made.
Pretty amazing stuff.

i wonder why he didnt buy a kit body?????????
Most people buy this body and fab a H1 hood so to look identical to an H1. On the show on skipe tv(xtreme 4x4) they put one of these bodies on a suburban chassis. Swapped a duramax tt that banks hand built into it......damn thing made like 800 hp and 1300 lbs!!!!.

Green- 94 Camaro 3.4
Yea I've been watchin that thread for a few months now...
He didn't get the kit because he did it WAY cheaper, and also because alot of customers have gotten crappy parts with the kit. The only thing he didn't fab himself was the hood... which is an actual H1 hood.

that's crazy. Did you catch that the guy had to teach himself to weld before he started on it? I was proud of my truck exhaust I put on yesterday until I read that. I read all the pages too. Good find and keep us posted. He sounds like he really knows his stuff when it comes to design and he also sounds like a really fast learner. I have neither the knowledge or discipline to ever attempt anything like that.
