What are you all paying and with what coverage and what state do you live?

I just finished getting quotes today and took a policy.

$1million in liability, $5k in medical expenses, $1,000 deductible, 2% hurricane ded since NJ doesn't get many, Extra coverage for jewelry and computers, value of the home for $225k, $168,750 for personal items, $22,500 for other structures. 1 year policy was $524.


Just curious what everyone else has coverage wise and price

Other quotes with a higher deductible and less coverage on other items ranged from $654-$880 a year.

~ $500/yr with a $1,000 deductible on a $212k house. It gets paid thru escrow impoundments (as does taxes).

A better question is what do you pay a year in taxes? My house costs ~ $1600/yr. That too gets paid thru the escrow account.

The escrow runs about $2400/yr or about $200 a month over my mortgage payment.

Damn seems like you got alot of insurance $168k for personal items...eeek maybe Im under insured!

Off the top my head house is fully insured up too 135k, personal property 50k, medical expenses 15k (iirc) deductable 500 yearly amount 350-ish...
