Home improvement, laying wood floor results...
Man, for all those who say it's easy, just cut and measure...riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Fine if you live in a square box, but here's the result.
Also, wanted my projection TV off the floor, didn't wanna buy a plasma, so we built a shelf over the fireplace.Last edited by BIGRED Z; 05-17-2006 at 03:08 AM.

Now to get rid of those pain in the ass blinds covering your backdoor. Those things are the loudest, peices of shit i have ever seen. Just wait till the clips start breaking on them and the blinds come crashing down.

What do you all think of the TV up on the shelf? I didn't run the wood all the way up to the fireplace as I'm laying ceramic tile there, for a hearth.

If you do not use the fireplace cool but i would think it would be bad for the TV.

I think that both the floor and the shelf look good...........Now, just get the tile in there and you will be all set

Liquifire, that's a good idea about the heat insulater. We don't use it a whole lot, and when winter comes around again, I will see just how hot it gets under there. If it gets to hot, your idea will come in handy. That or I can go rip off the heat shield from the Z...lol. J/K.
