Heres a little secret that may help you!!
I don't know if anyone knows this but I tried it and it works.
If you lock your keys in the car and have a spare key fob this will work. First call someone on your cell phone to their cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from the car. Have them hit unlock on the key fob into their cell phone. Presto, your car is unlocked and you can get your keys.
I tried this about a mile from my house and it worked fine, could even lock the car too. Hope this helps someone in the future.┌∩┐(◕_◕)┌∩┐

I only have one fob to, I just locked the car first with no keys in the car and left. Had someone by the car for me to make sure it worked. And bingo, to make sure they were not lying I tried locking it and I heard my horn in the background.

Dead serious. I tried and tested before I posted. I sure know I don't want an angry LS1.com after me.

I might have to try this one.
i just had this same conversation with someone else who claimed he tried it to get into his SUV. he said he called wife in another state and had her press the key fob to unlock the door and it worked. Of course i was like...

I've heard from someone who tried it and says it works. I have a second key fob but have yet to program it. Isn't that how Onstar works if you lock your keys in the car?
