1997 Grand Cherokee- 1999 Firebird.
Here's a little gun porn for ya. Picked up a new toy tonight. *pics*
I bought a Springfield XD .45 today. It holds 13+1 I have it loaded with Hornady +P 200gr JHPs. (1055fps from a .45! Wow.) The only thing I wish it had was night sights, but I've already ordered a pair from Trijicon. I went to the gun store to buy the new Taurus 1911 .45 but I didn't like the sights on it so I started looking around and found this. It was marked $529 on the box and I noticed it was also marked $485 on the other side of the box. When I asked him about it, he scratched his head and said I can have it for $520 out the door. When All of the paperwork was done, he opened the case and noticed it had 3 high-cap mags instead of the usual 2!! Then he stared stuttering a bit: "Those aren't supposed to be in there. There is an extra mag in there by mistake. That 3rd mag is a $30 option. I'm gonna need some more money....blah blah blah...." I just closed the case, thanked him, and left. Turns out, I got a pretty darn good deal. I picked up an Uncle Mikes paddleback holster at Sportsmans Warehouse. A gunlock, holster, double mag holder, and mag loading tool came with the gun from Springfield. I haven't shot it yet, but I loooove the way it feels. I added a Hogue slip on rubber grip as well. I had to trim the back of it so it wouldn't interfere with the bevertail type safety. Here are some pics:

Mystic Teal- 99 Trans Am & 01 CBR 929
nice! my roommate just bought the Taurus you were talking about. Its a really nice gun, we are going to shoot it tomorrow. I like it because of the built in lock and how light it is.

18D Cock Diesel- 1999 Z28; 98 SS #2043 RIP
Very nice but its still a little heavier than the Glock. It has a pretty cool trigger setup, which can't be really called double action only. The striker inside is loaded when the slide cycles. The result is a relatively short trigger arc but the break is pretty consistent at around 8 pounds or so. I like a little lighter break at around 4-5 pounds.
But it is better than the conventional double-action, single-action semi-autos with their heavy spongy trigger pull and light spongy trigger pull
All in all, its a nice handgun. Good luck with it. Let us know how you like it once you take it out to the range.

Those XD's are fk'n sweet. I've been looking for a gun and out of everything I've looked at the XD's were the only ones that fit my hand the way I liked.
