Nice, I've been looking at 2500s with the Duramax myself. I'd really love one but they are expensive. Good luck at the dealership.

Yep. I trust the Silverado more than I do a Titan, as strange as that may seem. I had a 2000 Silverado that I owned for 6 years....put just a little over60K on it, and had no problems whatsoever. The truck I am getting, is like a carbon copy of it....mechanically wise, but even better. This truck has the locking differential...3.73 gears, versus 3.42 for my 2K model....plus the LT1 package which includes OnStar, XM, etc. Don't really care for this stuff....just wanted the 5.3L...nice interior and the gear ratio. It should be pretty quick...for a truck anyway. It's not my GTO, but it will do well I am sure.

I just bought a 06 4door and love the ride. (Well it's 11 months old now)
Had I known I was gonna go back to drag racing pretty serious I would have went diesel. The 1/2 ton catches hell with a 28ft enclosed trailer loaded down.
Good thing the track is only 8 miles from my house.
