    Not yet, they keep saying it's the exhaust...typical dealer BS.

    DEpends on what year it is and is there an aftermarket exhaust. If you have the newer dodge with the MDS and an aftermarket exhaust then yes that is normal. I know it isn't great but the MDS shuts off four cylinders and if the wrong/ under-engineered exhaust is installed it magnifies the resonance caused by the four "shut-off" cylinders.

    If your exhaust is stock....I don't think that is all that normal, you shoudl hear some but not that loud.

    my girlfriends 93 explorer used to make exactely that sound, not that loud though. we think it was a loose heat shield on the y-pipe, got it fixed yesterday. but that car i old...
