Help me pick my next ride!!!!
Ok guys so I think i might have the Vette sold and Im starting to day dream about what i could get... Let me know what you think...
XLR
$35k MSRP
Convertable
Uses alot of Vette parts
Rare
After Im done... prolly $50k
Intentions:
Wheels
supercharged motor
full suspension
M6 (they were all autos)
GTO
$12k MSRP
LS1 or LS2
M6
After I'm done... $35k-$45k
Intentions:
Body Kit
super charger
All Wheel Drive
GTM super car
$19k for kit
Intentions:
Super charged or Turboed motor
Porsche 6 speed
tubular suspension
Lambo doors
$45k-$50k upon completion
I like xlrs, but i gotta have a 6 speed... that will be a pain... it will be a nice car the minute i buy, but it will turn out to be the most expensive
GTO needs work to actually stand out... and i hate the factory looks... but with some part from Australian i should be able to AWD it... and it not too expensive...
GTM... i think i would like it when i get done, but if i cant finance a kit i would have to use all my cash on the kit and then it would take me a while to finish it... and even if i can finance a kit it would still take me atleas a year to finish...
well what you think?

Oh im also considering tracking down a rare car... such as
Even maybe in vert form... you know like 1 of 9....
and Y2k that is one reason i like the xlr... your never gonna see a wicked modded one... you will barely see a stock one...

i was looking into buying a kit car myself, the cobra replica all you get when you buy the kit is what you see frame, quarter panels etc.... everything else like the drivetrain, motor, suspension, wheels, brakes have to be from a doner car in the gtm's case a corvette.

only donared parts are suspension (i would go after market), door handles, wiper motors, gas tanks, brakes and rotors (again after market), radiator, motor (yeah definitely custom built), mirrors, and some other various parts... you dont really use that much of a corvette.... not even the tranny

Not sure where you got that figure from, in all the looking I've done, you can't even touch a used Atom for that kind of money. www.arielatom.com or http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/

I voted GTM as you mentioned this was a secondary, or 'toy' car poll. I love the XLR, I remember when I saw the first one at the Caddy dealership, so badass for a caddy. However, for a 'toy' car it seems too....country club. The GTO's seem to be a dime-a-dozen, and the way I look at it, if you're going to do something like this, make it unique.
