help with laptop

i have a dell inspiron 1150, and when i plug in my battery charger the light that normally lights up green on the front, is flashing orange. i am assuming this is not good. anyone know what this means? i've tried unplugging and restarting and using various outlets, but still the light remains!

Flashing orange light means your battery is shot

New one is about $80

well i shut it off last night and let it sit all day and today it is plugged in and happy, but probably a sign that the end is near, that is what i was afraid of. an orange blinking light usually doesn't mean a good sign on anything

Yep.. what they said.... it won't hold a charge anymore.. and if it READS a charge.. it will depleate in prob minutes. Get a new battery before you need it.
