Exclamation HELP! I need some computer help please.

My computer came with Windows 98 and I installed Windows XP Pro a couple years ago. I want to go back to Win 98 but I can't uninstall XP! I've used the Win 98 restore CD that came with my computer but nothing happens. It's like XP refuses to be deleted. Any thoughts? I'm pretty retarded when it comes to this stuff. When I put the restore CD into the player and reboot, I choose the option to format my HD. Then, it goes through the motions but still starts in XP. Thanks for any help. If I can figure a way to delete XP then I should be able to figure the rest out. Maybe.

Simply format your c drive, and that removes everything on the entire motherboard.

Go to MS DOS Prompt, and type in "format c:"

REMEMBER, that deletes it all. Once thats complete, restart, put in the other windows disk, and follow the instructions.

Why do you not like XP? Its much safter than 98, and the patch that came out 2 years ago has helped tons in warding off viruses and decreased crashing.
