The gun scene after the bank robbery, watch it with good stereo speakers, so freakin realistic its like you are there! even on just a tv it sounds amazing.

I love when Vincent comes home and "ralph" is on the couch watching his tv lol Guy nearly shits a brick

Michael Mann wanted as much realistic weapon use as possible for the movie, so he had all the actors that used guns trained extensively. Val Kilmer apparently reloads his assault rifle as fast as you possibly can and they use him as an example. Not sure if it was police or military though.

It's and awesome movie too! One of my favorites as well. They used a few ex-military guys as advisors for that movie. During the bank robbery scene they execute a textbook peel/bound manuever that many small units use as their contact front drill.

totally a fan of them. they did another movie recently (about 2 years ago), i can't recall the name of it, but it was awesome! had the same attitudes they've always had.

I must have seen that movie over 20+ time's, definitely one of my all time favs. The bank shoot out on my PC is just amazing...it shakes the whole building.

I am sure the guys that did the hollywood shootout in 1997 watched Heat and thought they might be able to get away.

After they were killed, a subsequent search of their apartment discovered Heat, among other bank robbery movies.
