HDTV - you like it? or is it a waste?
is it really that great? or once you get used to it, you're just back in the same situation - just enjoying the show itself, rather than caring if you can see a pimple on someone's face now where you couldnt before. personally, I'm fine watching a free tv someone was throwing away, over $3000 for some 32 inch HTDV, which actually doesnt really look that much bigger... but if you are rich it's another matter cause you're jsut looking for shit to dump your money into.

black- 2000 WS 6
I have time warner cable so not all my channels are HD. When I watch HD I love it then I get used to it until I change to a non HD channel. Then it starts all over again.

I just got a 55" LCD TV and watching football games broadcast in HD makes all the difference in the world. HD Net (IIRC) just aired a Joe Satriani concert a week or so ago and the clarity was incredible.

MY parents have a 42" Widescreen with HDTV, we don't get the Hi def cable channels broadcasted, but it makes all the difference in the world with DVDs.

I got a really sweet deal on my 54" HD projection TV, otherwise I'd still be watching regular TV. The HD channels are nicer. I always surf them first.

Yes it is that great. And with surround sound 7.1 its even better.
I won't watch any SD channels. Only HD. I even use a HD-DVR now.
