    Haynes manual

Well I just got a Haynes manual for fbody cars from 93 to 2002. I was very disappointed in this manual I always get one of these manuals for the vehicles I own and they prove to be handy for wiring diagrams torque specs and such. Well this one would be great if it wasn't a ls1 if it was a v6 or a lt1 it would be very handy just wanted to post this so somebody else wouldn't make the same mistake I did!!!

haynes are generally pretty general.. I have one for the bird and '72 c10 and they both suck. Too general and too many year models. i like my factory service and exploded view manuals for the c10 though

haynes owns chilton now and the chiltons are also pretty basic. my old chilton for my monte carlo was monsterous and had EVERYTHING in it...although the haynes still had a few things that the chilton didn't. the new chiltons though are puny in comparison.

See i have always used these manuals not for hardcore mechanic stuff but for the general stuff like torque specs and wiring diagrams but this has like 2 pages of ls1 stuff in the whole book. Like i said before if it was a v6 or a lt1 this book would be very handy just not ls1 stuff!!

Haynes has torque specs, they're at the beginning of each chapter. I don't know if I have a different version than you, but mine is half to a 1/3 of LS1 information (when talking about the motor). It's 5 years old or so. Otherwise, like said before, it has alot of general knowledge, not many (if any) tips and tricks.

Same here, torque specs as well, in the rare situation I'm actually fortunate to do something that needs it.
