I recorded that cmt show. I cut my teeth on Hank Jr. I like a ton of his music. He's the Jimi Hendrix of country music IMO. He changed country music forever.

Hank jr. first turned me on to country when I was about 13, him and Charlie Daniel's, Merl Haggard, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson. You guys should listen to some Red Dirt bands like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Mike McClure Band, Stoney LaRue, Jason Boland, and Wabe Bowen thats what I'm listening to now studying for finals.

He diff took country music to a new level. His I dont give a shit attitude is great. Im sure he pissed alot of old timers off, thinking Hank Jr. was going to be like his dad. Id rather listen to Hank Jr. anyday over Sr.

hell i still listen to hank sr., jr is the shit, george jones, charlie pride, david allan coe, johnny cash, willie nelson, kris kristofferson. all of it is good man, ive drank many a beer listening to artists such as them
