    Halloween 2010

Halloween is coming, This, the 4th, Turkey Day, and Christmas are my favorite holidays. When it comes to Halloween I'm never happy unless I make kids scream and wet their paints. I make them earn their candy. This year my wife has made a couple of new props. These pics were taken on a crappy cell phone camera.

    I'll call him Iroc

    The Twins

We have added more to this years setup. A neighbor gave me an old wood crib, so I cut it up and made it into a cage for my werewolf. I got a used garage opener that I plan on having a prop come out on it. I also bough 2 more foggers last year so I'm going to add them to it.

I hate paying top dollar for props that look cheesy and cheap. Most of the time my wife can take old costumes and make them better. I usually build the framing for her to build off of, but she comes up with the concept and detail.

We're setting up right now, when we get it all up I'll post more pics. I'm going to have more ppl helping me out this year for the night. My bud is dressing in a straight jacket and we are going to make it look like he's in a padded room. My son is dressing as the headless horseman, my niece is going as a vamp this year, I having figure out yet if I want to be a crazed butcher or something else. My fat ass wouldn't look right as a zombie. Even though I have the scars that would go great with the idea I have too much gut. I've never seen a fatty as a Zombie except in Zombieland.

that is very cool, we used to do the yard thing too when my son was younger, i love to see ballerinas with pee running down their legs. Ninja turtles are no match for a large, running chainsaw

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!

yeah... taking the blade off of a chain saw and running around with it scares the shit out of kids but usually results in a visit from the police...

The cops in our area do a courtesy patrol on Halloween night in the neighborhoods. I post in last years thread how my son was dressed as a scare crow. The LEO had come up and was bs'ing with me and complimenting me on the decorations. My sons clown gene kick in and was standing behind him about 4 ft doing a mime act. LEO felt something wrong and looked over his shoulder, by this time my son had frozen back into his original position. All the other trick or treaters were dying of laughter, LEO turns back and my son starts miming again. I'm dying inside trying not to laugh, LEO decides its time to leave, as he turns my son moves off his position to scare a kid coming up the drive way. LEO nearly jumped out his uniform. He thought my son was just another prop. LEO laughs and said all this time I knew someone was behind me but couldn't see what it was.

Sucks that trick or treating has to be done in daylight now days. When I was a kid I remember going out when it was completely dark. 35 degrees out. Wearing a costume so thin and cheap it as it was designed to be used only once. It didn't blow in the wind as the wind just went right through it.

Oh, and I'm Iowan so you bet your ass we did haunted corn mazes as a kid too. Those were scary as hell. They are pretty damn hard too.

They are all about kid safety here. During daylight and like fifty cops patrolling like mad.
