I was at O'Reilly today getting an oil filter for the wife's Journey since it seems they're the only place on the planet that has them in stock. Anyhow....I'm waiting behind this guy and he's trying to buy a brake rotor. Guy behind the counter looks it up and say's it's $30.99. The guy says " In Columbus they have them for $20.99 will you match it?" He asks if it's at an O'Reilly and the guy says yes. Counter guy looks at the computer again and says "nope....they're $30.99 and it'll be the same at all stores." Idiot says " They get them through an outside contractor there. I know because I've been up there 3 or 4 times a day for the last 5 days." Counter guy asks him about the contractor thing again and the guy makes up some bullshit that I was surprised even he believed. Then he leaves.
I walk up and the counter guy is shaking his head and starts talking to another counter guy about what idiot had just said then looks at me and says "can you believe that guy?" Here's where I took the opportunity to drop some wisdom on him. I said " The quicker you realize and accept that 90% of the people on this planet are full of shit and the other 10% are just stupid the happier you'll be."
