Guys I need you more than ever...
i spent the night last night and all day today at the hospital. i'll be staying there again tonight. They did the cat scan but they said he was too blocked up... they thought there would be too many tubes needed and they wouldn't do any good for him. he was suposed to have chemo today to but the doc said he doesn't think it will help. he told us that he might only get sick from the chemo and he doesnt think that would help at this point. he said all there is now is to keep him as comfortable as possible. i've never felt this much sadness at loosing my best friend. there's so much i rely on him for and so much i want to learn from him still. i've been able to know him for 24 yrs though. i'm at a loss for words guys i'll try to talk to you later.
God, please help my father, I plead this prayer as a last minute effort. Amen.Last edited by EVL LS1; 05-12-2006 at 06:10 PM.

2 points.
Doctors always give worse news than it really is.
It may be hard to accept , but sometimes Gods answer is No..
I pray you have the strength to deal with this whichever happens...

well guys tonight at 11:30pm my Dad arrived to Heaven safely. i'll post more later. I'm so glad we were able to tell him goodbye and that we love him so much. Each day he told me and my brother how proud he was of us even after fighting for breath. He told me he loved us so much right before having a small panic attack.. the nurse gave him some medicine and he calmed down.. he went to sleep and about two hours later he was fighting for air... his last breaths were about 20-25 mins where we were all able to tell our last goodbyes to him. God bless my father, Don, and my family. Over the years our large family as drifted apart and all my father ever wanted was us to get back together like old times. I think God answered his dream by bringing us together and bringing a very special man to Heaven.

thanks guys. at this point i dont think i can cry anymore i'm physically exhausted since this has started. It hit us so hard... it's only been since april the 4th since he was up and about like his normal self.. just a slight pain in his back... all things happen for a reason i believe. He will truely be missed he was my best friend and i relied on him for everything. This has been the hardest thing in my life to go through. This cancer is the fastest spreading and the most painful. It was agonizing seeing how much pain he went through in these short weeks. He found up until the end for his family. He loves us beyond measure and told me he wish he could live with us forever. I never heard him say he was going to die... He would just say "there's nothing more they can do" I know he was so scared and that's what hurt me the most i believe. I was standing at his beside almost the whole time i was awake each day holding his hand. Today i was by his side about the whole day except for a small lunch i had in the waiting room and a walk to the truck to get my razor because my dad wanted me to shave him later in the day if he felt better. when my legs got tired from standing by his side i pulled a chair beside his bed and let it down... held his hand as i tried to take a nap. well guys i'm going to try to comfort my mom more and try to get some shut eye.. it's been rough. thanks for being here for us. we love you all.

thanks again guys. i'm still exhausted but thought i would post something that was emailed to me.
********************
God saw he was getting tired,
and a cure was not to be;
So he put His arms around him,
And whispered, "Come with me."
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer,
And saw him fade away;
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stoped beating.
Hard working hands to rest;
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best!

Very sorry to hear about your loss my friend. I hope you and your family are able to get through these tough times together. Remember when we lose someone we love it's not about trying to forget them now they are gone it's about celebrating the special times we had with them while they were with us.
God Bless you and your family I'm sure he's watching over you all from above.
