    Question For the guys that got a divorce.............

    What happened? Did she change after the marriage? Was it your fought?
    I'm not going to be getting married anytime soon. But One day I might, So I was just asking what caused it to get to that point. A lot of older guys I work with that have been married tell me I should never get married. I see the divorce rate is very high in america right now also, so It must not be easy.

    Anyway old guys drop some knowledge on me about this.

    Well I have not been married yet but my older brother has been married and is now divorced. She was actually a really good person, good job and a very smart person. She hit about 33 and decided after having two kids that she wanted to party all the time. Hung out with wrong crowd and so on. They divorced she moved in with some idiot junkie. At her lowest point this past year she spent Christmas in jail and did not see her kids for almost 3 months. Now you can see the fact that the kids do not feel as strongly about her as they used to since they care more about my brothers current serious girlfriend. She is now trying to claim rights to the house even though she signed them away for a few grand that we all know she spent on drugs and alcohol.

    The few serious relationships I've been in, its come down to them telling lies, or them not knowing how to keep there legs closed to everyone else. After the last one, I decided its easier to have my fun occasionally and go on about my business. Nothing serious, no strings attached, etc. Takes too much time and too much money to keep a female happy.

    IMO communication was the failure to my first marriage. Or the lack of. and her sleeping around on me while I was at work. now that I'm a bit older and wiser I can give this advise to all. Remember your better half is not a mind reader so communication is key in a long term relationship.
