gutter guards....
I need to replace the POS guards the prior owners put on there. They're the screen type that are worthless. Anyone have experience with guards and what are the best out there? I want something I don't have to screw around with more than once or twice a year. I have an ass load of trees around me so it makes it a pain in the butt. Quite a few pines close to the house too so I'm not looking for miracle guards that'll keep pine needles out, just something that works well enough that I don't have to get up there once a month and clean the damn things.

I have on my house some solid ones that attach to the roof. There is like an 1/2 gap from the solid piece(which is elevated some from the gutter) to allow for rain water. I know I dont have to clean them and they stay that way. I cant remember who makes them though, I will look into it for you though.

That's what I would use if I had gutters to guard.

thanks for the links guys. I'm going to go look at some different ones this weekend sometime. I was just checking to see if anyone here has any good experiences with a certain type or brand.

Lazy fucker, I just get on the roof with the hose and clean them. Is it really that hard? Me and my dad just re-roofed the entire house two weeks ago so the pitch on all them is perfect now. Ours just have a screen basket over the downspout the rest of it is open. It's not that bad to clean but man I found a decomposing pigeon in there once, the smell from that thing could have killed every nerve ending in your nose.
