They will be ridiculed badly for this and it is well deserved. Never market a car as something its not, and never over hype your product the way nissan did and everything would have been fine. It is still an awesome car regardless of whether or not it has he launch control but people will not see that now.

The way I look at it, you can't build a car that can destroy its own components and the stock power level... they should have beefed up the tranny instead. How are you gonna sell people a sports car that has a tranny that can't handle itself?!!??

Well I have owned Many Many Nissan's in my day and can say the Older ones are not so good but the new stuff they have brought out has been extremely well built. As for the tranny, agree if they are just a bad design/ build they should replace, but u know the ones that are having tranny problems more than likely have BEAT the shit out of it. That goes with almost any AWD car. Subaru will not warranty there STI tranny's either, So it not Just a NISSAN deal.

I own a r33 Skyline motor I built for my drag car and I tell u I BEAT the Shit out of it. and it still runs like a Champ. Have not had any issues.

how many STI"s out there have blown trans within the first 6 months of the release verses how many of the GTR's had a blown trans.

Our rearends handle the stock horsepower just fine. GTR's transmissions do not handle the stock horsepower while using their launch control system.

Put slicks on it or launch it hard with a manual and it would go lol

i dont need 6 monthhs to blow a tranny. if i wanted to i could do it in 2 days. parts are only made so good. EVERYTHING has a limit. its all in how much u push that limit whether it lasts or not.

sure the cars has 1 flaw as do most all new production cars.

if you want a perfect ride, build it yourself.

Haha - if you're using slicks, it isn't stock anymore.......and I don't think the GTR had slicks, right?

Launch it as hard you want with a manual transmission (and stock tires) and all that's going to happen is massive wheel spin, which isn't going to roast the rear end....

your right fastchevy..the rear does handle NORMAL driving...that is why no manufacturer will honor a warranty if it is found you have drag raced etc..under normal driving the 10 bolt will last and last. putting slicks on a car that didnt come with a car is not stock..and it then puts the car out of normal operation equipment and parameters
