GTO's in the snow.
Looking to get a 04 GTO maybe for my daily driver. I live by Columbus Ohio. How good are they in the snow. Are they better then LS1 F-body's in the snow?

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
I drive mine in the snow. I have Eagle F1 All Sesons on my 17s and they are great in the snow with the traction control on. I gotta get two more tires for the front tho.
extreme dimensions, driveshaft shop, harrop, hid(35watt/6k) lows, hurst, k&n, led fogs, maverick man, mishimoto, nitto, revshift, slp, stern st-1, smoked sidemarkers, whiteline poly radius rod bushings

Black- RIP S4 06Tbss
They are both horrile and not ment to drive in the snow. Do people do it, yes, should they? Probably not. Get good snow tires and if snow starts sticking to the road pray you wont have to stop at any red lights.

I've driven mine in the snow many times and never had any issues with it. I live in Lancaster and I'm thinking of selling mine soon. Make you a deal on it.
53k miles
05 hood
slotted/drilled rotors
other than that it's stock

Your car looks good. The one I might be looking at is yellow also. Its at a dealership by me. I was wanting to trade my current car in on it though.

I could never get my ta's or camaros out of the driveway when it snowed. But last year got caught in a terrible storm and somehow I made it home. I wouln't reconemend it, but with the right tires they are ok. There weren't always fwd cars, so not like people haven't been doing it for years. At one point I had an 89 mustang gt, that thing went anywhere in the snow.

I can't imagine a goat being a ton better than an ls1 f-body in the snow. It's a good bit heavier and probably has a better weight split having irs. The computer assists may be better too just being a newer car. So if I were to take a one wheel peel, 3700 pound, no computer assist, 2wd, 60/40 weight split, v8 pickup out in the snow or ice on radial t/a's I would pretty much die right Just trying to beware, we've had a few days of snow in the last five years or so

I have both an f-body and a GTO. The f-body hasn't seen snow in 8-9 years but there is really no comparison between the 2. The GTO is much better in snow. We had a nasty ice storm here 2-3 years ago and I was out in the GTO in it. Was I happy about it? Hell no....I was shaking like a dog shitting razor blades but the car did extremely well I thought. I don't drive like an idiot either and didn't push the car. I saw semi's jack knifed and suv's upside down in the median that night. I mean it was nasty but I drove 120 miles round trip to pick up my daughter without any issues.

As much as I love the Formula, a goat (or anything really) is better in everyway stock for stock. It's so rude for a modern car. The abs inop light has been on since the dyno tune so we have to clean the sensor or replace it. No factory stability or traction control except for your foot with 388 rwhp and 383 lb/ft torque I believe, it's got some under the curve. 275's and 315's so it does real good in the rain and i'm sure snow too
