Got the report Card

Got the actual report card today, my dad saw my 3.00 on paper i told you guys about 2 weeks ago that I saw on the little portal where students can see how they are doing in school, he flipped out, he's really happy i pulled my grades up.

Very good feeling when you work hard all quarter and your grades reflect your work, best feeling ever, especially when your loved ones are proud of you.

Just thought I'd share.

Working hard in school is def. worth it.

good,keep getting them up. you screwed up though now he will expect at least a 3.0 lol.

It sure is, my first semester in college i did relatively nothing and ending up getting a 2.4 that semester.... then I started thinking why am I paying to go to college to not do anything in it.....

Now I have a steady 3.3-3.5gpa

Weird, my dad didn't say anything when i was on the principals honor roll. GPA of 96.5 or higher.

That's life.

If you do good stuff, you don't get noticed.

If you do bad stuff, but then do good stuff, you get noticed.

If somebody had invented some security system that would have prevented 9/11, nobody would remember him, but now that it has occurred, the people who are trying to prevent those stuff get noticed.

Good doesn't get noticed; good only gets noticed when it proceeds bad.

Sorry to hear that man, but I've been pretty much a C+ student all of my life, but I finally broke threw and got the B average, my father was just pretty shocked that I finally did it. Thats all.

Yep. Some parents expect perfection as the norm.

Unless you have the best grades in your glass or excel in sports, you usually won't get a scholarship, so what else is the point in HS?

Thats true.. or go to a community college then transfer basically anywhere....

I never had GREAT grades, always passing.... and i got offered a 3/4th ride for music... didnt take it. but grades only matter when you try to be in the top 10%... cuz some schools ONLY accept top 10%... or like you said with sports.. or music in my case.

In addition to getting the state-funded scholarship for having a GPA higher than 3.0, I also received a $2,000 scholarship from a university sponsored, interview based award program.

I was thinking about that the other day when watching the biggest loser show. "Ohhh look at me i'm a fattie...give me 250k and plaster my rhino ass on the TV!"

right on!! same with me,, no drugs, always have had at least 2 jobs, never been fat...i want a cookie dammit! I havent had a semester off in school since i was 4!

I'm watching that now, no digital box in my room so i'm stuck with the shit channels with nothing on. I hate tv anyway, but that show makes me feel better about myself. Even the women lose more weight than I weigh (180). DEE-SCUSTING
