Got a race today... something crazy happend

So I'm in my friends T/A today (00 Allboltons6speed) and we get a brand new 08 stang riding our ass hard. So we leave a light and run it through 1st and he's still there.... the next light we give it everything the Ls1 has got. We pull 2 cars by third gear and the mustang all the sudden erupts in a HUGE cloud of smoke

Turns out it was a intercooled procharger running 12 PSI, he blew his shit up. The car had 6k miles on the ODO. It was built at Speed South down here...

Question is for 310stanger, whats a new stang put at the wheels on your typical inter-cooler procharger setup?

12 psi is too high on that motor stock. with that kinda boost it should be in the 490-500 range. i did a novi 1200 on an 05 with i think it was around maybe 6 psi that turned 440 with bolt ons. he nuked that engine cause of compression and hypereutectic pistons.

ps that cloud of smoke was probably a popped head gasket, a blown clutch and oil burning lol cause thats what happens when u do what he did lol

Well it was a sexy ass car, i felt bad for him and offered my cell incase he needed to call some friends. He declined and just laughed it off.... he said he wanted a new Camaro. He was really, really clueless about cars

My friend thought he did spin the tires a little... then the smoke got worse and worse haha. He popped the hood, He had some liquid pouring out of what looked like the inter-cooler rez right above it. It could have been a radiator relocation deal. I wish I would have gotten it on video!
