Got Pulled Over ... Have Some Questions

I got pulled over Sunday going 82 in a 55... The officer was a real nice guy and reduced it down to a 75/55 and let me keep my license... He then went on to tell me that once I paid the fine ($75.00) it would be completely dropped from my record with no license lost... And he had to know about my other tickets (below) because he is required to input my information into his computer...

Well... I already have gotten 3 other tickets, only one standing on my record, the other two were dropped after supervision... And today I did some calling and I was told that it didn't matter once the ticket and fine is received a letter will be mailed out telling me the situation that I was to face...

Sooo... Does my license get revoked or do I get to keep it?

There are a lot of factors, such as he falsified the ticket, I was told that it would be dropped, etc, etc...

first of all...why were you doing 82 in a 55? 25 over is jail time down here.

4 tix @ 3pts each = 12 pts. Probably looking at suspension. go to court, plead with the judge, tell him you'll take traffic school or whatever. Just hope to christ your insurance doesn't drop you!

Family urgency.. Mom in hysteryia.. Had to travel 15 miles ASAP.. And the cop caught me accelerating into a 65 MPH zone.

I know we all have stories but I got 2 tickets going to and from miami. 95 in 55 both times. Funny thing was I bought a radar detector just for this trip. Boy did it cost me.

The I-285 and parts of I-75/I-85 in Atlanta are all 55mph speed limits. Traffic flows at around 80... generally you only get pulled over if you're going 90+.

To the OP: You're lucky with a $75 fine for 20 over.... I got a $201 fine for 23 over

my buddy just lost his license here in IL because of 3 tickets before he was 21. Now he looses his license till hes 21, which is a couple months.

my one buddy on mine couldn't get his license for a year because he got arrested for driving a quad on the street... he also had to pay fines and stuff like that...

I have 14 points and still have my license, but it was suspended for 30 days a while back. You'll probably have to do defensive driving class or somethin.

$75 bucks is that it? I got a ticket several years back going 86 in a 65 on a freeway and it cost me a little over $300. That's including the $30 traffic school fee so it doesn't go to the DMV..

Oh and how far apart are those tickets...if they're all within a year you're fucked.

I know $75 is extreamly cheep... He told me if he would have wrote me for any higher I'd be paying over $100 more, so I was very grateful for that.. My main concern is losing the license.. Summer is coming up and then I'm off to college...

And only 2 tickets were in the past year... Including this one.
