Got the Nine_Ball boot
Got the boot from the LS1Tech owner. Guess he didn't like me replying to him with the Wavey-finger.
Just wanted to say it's good to see a lot of familiar faces here ... thought I wouldn't know anyone here. Nice interface and good user-friendly site. Congrat's to whoever is running this one. I think I might just stay ... sure won't use that Wavey-finger anymore ... LOL!
Life goes on.

Anyway, he was at my exit one day on his way back to texas getting gas, I thought about stopping and giving him a nice one finger salute.

Nice place to be. Thanks for all the welcomes. I won't say anything about Nine Ball over at the 'other' site, except
LOL! I just couldn't help myself ... sorry guys/gals. Nine Ball's got buds/mods here and he'll permananetly ban me at the 'other' place, but, I don't care. Wasn't much fun over there anymore because the mods were getting too snobbish and dictatorial. There are a lot of good ones there too, but, the bad ones ruined it for all of them. JRP was one of my favorites and helped me a lot. Ed Blown Vert, WILWAXU. Even ole Unit213 came to be a good friend. JimmyBlue, Robert, MrR23, could go on and on. Lots of good mods and people there. But, it's changed since the time I joined that site and I don't think I wanna' go back.
My objective is to give back as much as I can and be a positive influence to this site. Hopefully, I can give back as much as some of the good folks over 'there' gave to me. Again, thanks and I look forward to hanging out with you folks.

Well im sure with a sponsor list that streches beyond thier posting forums him not getting all of it does not mean he is not collecting a serious chunk of change from it. Not saying "Fuck him" im saying alot of that could probably buy him a couple of cars over the years.

im sure some do... but im in AR and just got out of college... about $40k a years is pretty good for just out of college... and with over time... im making it...
the problem seems to be alot of ppl have figured out that engineering is a decent job... 4 years of school and descent pay so the market is flooded... but honestly where im working even hi profile engineers MIGHT make 6 figures.

That was the same problem after I entered the Network Engineering field ... got in before the field exploded and it's been flooded for about 10 years now. I think any engineering filed makes about $35K- $40K starting out.
After I retired, I took up this as a second career. I'm 48 and still can only afford ONE built car ... LOL!

you are working for the wrong place if that is all you are making with a degree in mech engineering. i have friends who just graduated in mechanical and civil making 60k+ easy.

what part of the country? it might look like they are making more on paper, but cost of living might be more... i make more than all of my friends that graduated with me do... some are working for like $38k and i should make about $52k after over time...
and back to the subject at hand... the whole mod scene is y i stick around here and dont cruise the other sites... no telling how many flame wars ive found myself in and i have one warning... and that was for porn nor for telling someone to go shove a cock up thier ass till its stops crowing...

I guess the Wavey-finger was a bit much to do to the owner of the other site. I sure didn't mean it as shoving a c**** up his you-know-what. It was cocky, I'll admit, but, I think it was taken too personal and I got booted for 90 days. I guess being the owner of the site, he has to make exmples of people who break the rules and I DID break the rules (I think).
Whether posting the Wavey-finger or posting porn, it's both breaking the rules ... both here and there. I don't think one is worse than the other, as long as it is in good taste ... depends on the person, I guess. You got your warning. I got mine. We both broke the rules and now we both pay the price.
Ironic that the very first thing I did was to read the forum rules at this site. So, there was a benefit and learning point from giving old Nine Ball the Wavey-finger. So, the 3-month boot helped me to grow at my old age of 48. Goes to show you're never too old to learn.Last edited by JEB99TA; 05-23-2006 at 02:01 AM.
