Got a new Toy!!!!!!!!!

2003 yamaha R6......Picked it up this morning. dropped it off at storage, I havnt even road it yet its too dang cold 35F :thumbdown and wont ride it till its nice and warm out. My buddy test drove it for me to make sure everything is ok. He said its got balls, more than his brothers 05 cbr600. It sounds DANG good with the full exhaust.

The damage:

Needs a headlight and cowl. The lower fairing was cracked and I wasnt first informed of that and I made him knock off another $100. :icon_neutral:

Gonna do a complete service and adjust everything this spring and fix the stuff. Gotta save up about $2k for insurance, tax, and repairs, and riding gear.

cool man get it enjoy it this summer, and enjoy the gas mileage. I managed 44mpg one stint this last summer.

you hate me because i now have no money, cant ride it for 3 months, have to pay about a grand for insurance, another grand for repairs, riding gear, tax, and liscense fees??????????????

yea but you got a bike. im so broke i cant afford one and had to sell my toys off. at least ya still got a camaro and now a bike you can play with eventually. count your blessings my man, ya never know when it all could be taken away.

good for u! is this ur first bike??? well congrats if it is!!!
riding gear is expensive.. my boyfriends helmet... the one he doesnt even like was 700 but that was a custom design and shit... im sure u can find something cheaper! and oh god the jacket he got was about 600, he doesnt wear full leathers so i wouldnt be able to tell u how much those are.
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! welcome to the bike family..its fun as hell

ps- those R6s are hard for a girl to be on the back, make sure u've gotta girl that knows how to ride if ure gonna put her on the back, if not make sure u teach her exactly how to ride, those seats on those R bikes arent for someone who doesnt know how to ride... just a suggestion!!!!
