Got my GTP back from the Body Shop
As you guys probably remember...on the way to Spazpalooza '09, I rear ended a Suburban and the result was this:
Well, after a lo of waiting...first for the Insurance Company, then the hood shipping, and lastly the body shop, I have my GP back in acceptable condition.
Here be he pics...the height of the cowl from the inside is higher than I expected, but I'll get used to it:

Owning a 9 sec ricer is like coming out of the closest: at first you'll surprise everyone, but in the end you're still gay

So if you wreck you're car, you can take the insurance money and do w/e you want? I thought they would only pay for/replace what the car originally had. Clearly it never had the cowel hood?

What i am saying is from experience and from PA insurance things.
Wife got in accident. Was told to take truck to two different body shops for estimates. Submitted estimates. Got a check for the lower one. I took the money and bought a new car for her pocketed the rest. Sold the truck and kept that money too.
Another example. Friend had his car backed into in parking lot. Got a check for $1600 to fix the damage. Went to a body shop to get it done and ended up getting a lot more done just by adding a few bucks of his money.

Pewter- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6
When my hood got backed into and destroyed they gave me a check for $2700 to cover everything. Even considered buying a Mecham hood but decided I liked the stock look better.
