Got my 1st gun!

Picked up my new toy tonight. S&W M&P .40. 1 15 round mag & 2 14 round mags. Once I mail in the rebate form I'll have 2 more mags!

Very nice. I could have easily gone the to M&P 40 or the Steyr M-A1 40. I got the XD 40 a couple of weeks back.

also there is a reason you don't see gangs in the hunting county's... they would be out gunned.

I meant a range buddy as in someone to go to the range with. There's a local range that I will be going to. I bought the gun there

I'm 5-10 min over the bridges from Philly.

Hahah, oh, ok. I thought you were being smart and calling me buddy. Nice, i would go if i had more free time.

Check out Targetmaster on Rt 202. You can rent and shoot fully automatics there. Im planning on going sometime soon. http://www.targetmaster.com/

You can bring your own guns and shoot too.

Nice, I usually go to this outdoor range a few miles from my house. Can shoot all day for free there

I think you made an excellent choice. Our department just went to the same model and the compact (both with night-sights and the factory locking mechanism disabled per department requirement), I can carry either and I chose the full-size.

I'm curious about the fourteen round mags. You SURE they're not fifteen as well?

Anyway, the department did torture tests on a number of the M&P's before we purchased. The gun came through with flying colors. It replaced our patrol's Model 99 (POS) and the Detective's Glock 23's. So far, all remarks have been positive. We are currently considering the addition of the flashlight on the acc. rail. It will require more holsters to be issued, since the current ones don't accept the light.

It should give you a lifetime of dependable service.
