got fired today

still can't believe it....

there really are no words for what I feel right now.

angry and unstable only scratch the surface.

looks like another long, difficult road ahead for IceSpiral....

I worked just as hard, if not harder, than anyone else in that entire bank.

needless to say, i won't be opening an account with wachovia anytime soon.

Man that does suck and i know how you feel. I got fucked out of my job a few months ago. And EVERYONE in the store couldn't believe i got fired instead of the other person.
When i was in high school i said some things about jews and i got a 1 day in-school suspension for it.
I was told that it's better to get fired now at this age rather than 10 years down the road.

if he has called a black person the N word would that be descrimination

in many states they can fire you for anything or nothing

point is to watch what you do and say at work....plain and simple

so everyday the braud next to him at the bank says "god bless you" when he sneezes b/c she's a devout catholic but he if he says "i hate jesus," one time (as an athiest), he's spreading his beliefs and should be fired but she should be patted on the back for what? I call

i bet he's from a small narrow minded town and they all have the same beliefs and are gonna discriminate him from another form.

if she has been ask to not say that or others find it offensive then she might have a problem

if he was found to be saying offensive things he can be fired....no matter what else

compaines have the right to dictate workplace behavior....they just can't descriminate against things that cannot be changed....like age, race, sex, ect

ok, so if he said it once and they tossed him without reviewing the rules of conduct [including discussion of religious beliefs] then he was treated unfrairly.

however, if he read/signed one of those 30 page documents of fine print text that allready included some sort of clause regarding religion in the work place, he's fucked.

being that we only have his side of the story to go by, he's being accused of saying something that he possibly didn't say to begin with. and furthermore-he may have said it outside of work with different co-workers around.

Ice, where you at? we need more details cuz. did you say it or not? is there a signed clause or not?

Most states you can get fired with no explanation.

But if he actually told you that was the reason you were fired, I would talk to a lawyer about it.

That or go up the Wachovia ladder threatening to go to the press with it. They would eat something like that up.

it said that wachovia values DIVERSITY and the INDIVIDUAL... I guess that doesn't apply to me.

I was fired over "innappropriate" comments that I simply didn't make - that is all there is too it.

My work ethic was top notch at that place.

Wasn't late once... didn't call in sick once.

I was a slave for those assholes.

I had a friend and she got fired for absolutely no reason and she took it to the union, and ended up getting $3000 plus her job back.
