Raised Roman Catholic.. So I feel quilty as hell all the time. I did three years as an acolyte..You know, the kids in the red and white robes that bring out the tapers and move the bible from one side of the altar to the other for the reading of the Gospel.
Now go to Assembly of God, kick back, listen to the five piece live band, and have a great time at worship

Was raised Roman Catholic. That was until I got a Nun to scream at me and throw a book at CCD
Now I only go for funerals and weddings

I was a bad kid
I asked her too many questions that she had no answers to, it was always "cause the bible says so". So I continued to annoy her with questions and eventually she screamed at me, threw the book and I just
They actually asked my parents to have me NOT come back

My questions had nothing to do with faith. I believe in God, but I do not believe in organized religion especially the Roman Catholic verison of it.
Just a little food for thought the Roman Catholic church is the richest organization in the world. It may not be liquid assets BUT it has larges amounts of property and art work. In my opinion religion should not be a money making venture. It should be totally non profit and every cent donated should be put back into the churches, shelters, housing etc.
