Good stereo systems for my car... whats the best deal/quality?

you guys are the experts... im starting to look for a good stereo system.

and NO im not a ricer... although i might get a tint eventually also.

whats the best deal out there? I only need 1 sub.... i love heavy metal...

i Have 1 12" american bass sub VERY good quality and im gonna get the conponets eventually a little pricey but i have a life time waranty. but you guys have prolly never heard of them there not too popular around here i just have a freind who sells the stuff.

Kicker, MMATS, and JL Audio stuff is usually pretty good for speakers and subs. Decks you should look into Clarion and Eclipse.

I was just looking at some stereos since I crushed one of the buttons on mine (the forward button) and GOD DAMN, some of them are pricey. What the hell is the difference? Some have the same features but sell for 124.95 vs 329.95, I don't know a god damn thing about stereos except push in the disc and press play, what makes some better than others? How hard is it to install these things?

Its a peice of cake installing a head unit, takes about an hour I guess.

Get a decent HU, around $250+ Good speakers, around $100 pair, and a Alpine Type R 10 inch sub, and get a nice 4 channel for the speakers around $250+ and a powerful sub amp, around $300+ and you'll be set. As for sound quality, that all depends on who's listening to it. I recommend the Type R sub coz it hits hard and its VERY durable, keeps up great with fast bass too, like Slayer or Metallica.
