i just bought a black 1990 accord ex 4 dr.that is near mint for $1900. i was spending $25 a DAY in my truck (120 miles roundtrip to work) and can now go all week on $40. rides and drives great, power everything, sunroof, i actually ended up selling my Toyota truck and keeping this as my only ride. Granted it has 219,xxx but i have a stack of paperwork from the original owner of every oil change, timing belt replacement, etc. so im happy with it and feels extremely reliable. i would definitely buy another one of these in a heartbeat, very nice car to be 16 yrs old

Acura Integra I have a 96 with 238,xxx miles as my DD, only thing that went out on it was a front bearing front passenger side. I rag the hell of it and gets great gas mileage and only has a 10 gallon tank. I have had it since it was new.

Good call, was definatly not thinking about winter when I was considering the options.
Price range is up to about 2k or so but id like to save as much as possible for an f-body...I could just keep driving the F250...but like almost everyone mentioned MPG is a big problem theese days.

he said $2000 is his budget. i also agree with the toyota 4x4 - with the 22re 4 cyl. they last forever and will go anywhere. easy to work on and cheap on parts, my ext. cab on 31's averaged around 20mpg. good call Bigrus

you could always look for an older AWD subaru, mid to late nineties probably would fit your budget. My friend has one as a beater and he gets 25-35mpg, depending on whether his in in 4WD(his is 4WD, it has a shifter) and it goes like hell in the snow, mud etc. something to look into.
