Grew up with these movies and none were ever as great as this one looks to be.

True, but the obviously fake military equipment, characters that start (or finish) after the words are spoken and really bad explosions are a part of my childhood...

Sent my wife a link to the trailer yesterday. We are both excited to see this one.
I had VHS tapes of most of the Godzilla movies growing up.
It doesn't hurt that Bryan Cranston is in it either. His work on Breaking Bad was phenomenal, I've started watching the last episodes that just came out on Netflix.
