Girlfriend just broke up with me

We hadnt been together for just a real long time, but this girl is special, shes different than other girls ive dated. I went to see her after work yesterday and she informed me that she quit her job. she lives kind of far away but works in the town i live in. so quiting her job would make it hard for us to be together. we talked about it some last night, then today she breaks up with me. I don't really understand why, her main reason is that we are in different stages of our lives, but were really not. I think right now, more than ever, we need each other, but she doesnt seem to see it that way. I think theres something shes not telling me. I'm texting her, she says shes crying and having a very hard time, as am i. She just keeps saying she can't be with me. Any words of advice or comfort?

good point, but its hard for me to meet girls. I've always had emotional issues, shes the first girl I've ever opened up to, emotionally. Ive always blocked emotional pain well, bad news, failing a test, death of family and friends, it never phases me, but this is hard, I dont know if i can make it.

I know yall must think i sound like a pussy, and you wanna tell me to suck it up and be a man. And I'd usually do the same if i were in youre position. But my life is hard right now, No job, losing my house, not doing to well in school, she was all i had.

The statement she uttered when she broke it off with you simply means she is trying to spare you the pain of the naked truth.
Take it for what it's worth..Sucks ? You betcha. Can you do anything about it ? Probably not.

All I can offer is these things have a way of working out..May not be what you wanted, but in the end, when I went through times like this... I look back now and say "Thank GOD, of all the roads I could have followed in this life, all the choices I could or did make. I am happy where I am now.. I truly hope that a year from now or ten... You can say the same thing.

Thanks Crimson...but there was no upgrade from her. Once i started dating her, other girls didnt interest me anymore. I'm gonna do the best i can, i cant let this effect my schooling and stuff. the hardest part of this is the embarrassment of telling everyone she broke up with me and I dont know why.

Good man.. Keep your priorities straight. Education = Job = Power and Self Sufficiency. And that my friend will get you all you need in life. I didn't find my wife til I stopped looking... sounds weird, but it's true. I swear in a couple years, none of this will matter to you in the least.

God i hope so, I'm in nursing school, going all the way through to get my bachelors. they start off at about 70k around here. it takes 5 years, im about to finish number 4. Ive always lived my life according to school, i even broke up with my last girlfriend cuz she was competing with study time. She didnt matter, this one did.

And i know your next thought, "youre in nursing school and cant find another girl". Well yeah i can think of 4 off the top of my head that i could go hook up with tonight, but its just not the same.

Eh, ive got one like that right now too. we've got a history, she's currently engaged and I KNOW for a fact that i could make a time and place and she'd be bent in front of me ready for it...but her brother is my best friend and her parents and my parents are good friends...too much to lose for everyone in this case.

Nope, my next thought was screw worrying about chicks, finish school. I saw so many friends toss their lives away over some chick, then years later, no chick, no future, and a huge college bill to pay off.
Your schooling is your job, you OWE yourself to focus on it. You will NEVER get that time or chance again..
I KNOW... I left everything for a chick when I was about your age... Thought she was my universe.. Now all I really miss is the Ninja, the 93 Cobra and not finishing my degree... I don't miss her at all. <shrug>
