    Germanwings A320 Crash

They now know that one of the pilots was locked out of the cockpit moments before the plane went down. Not good...either pilot suicide, or the other pilot in the cockpit suffered some sort of medical emergency and was incapacitated.

Pilot was locked out of cockpit moments before plane crashed in Alps, report says | Fox News

The need for "locked and armored" cockpit doors on airliners: Yet another "needed" item we can chalk up to Islamofascist terrorism...

And now it's been confirmed that the co-pilot intentionally crashed the plane, protected by that armored door.

Who wants to bet that if it's found out the co-pilot was a Muslim that this will be termed "Workplace Violence" by our media since he was at work when he killed everyone?

There's nothing you're going to do to stop a determined and suicidal pilot. The system in place with US carriers is probably about as good as you're going to get, but still might not fix every situation.

And as far as I know, nothing has come out about the pilot being Muslim, or are you just hoping it comes out that way?

Nothing has pointed to him being a Muslim, or having ties to a terrorist organization. Had he converted and carried out a terrorist attack in the name of Islam, I'm tempted to think you'd hear "Allahu Akbar", on the black boxes. Terrorists claim their actions, and that would have left no doubt as to the reason. The pilot had psychological problems dating back years. That being said- if you want to commit suicide but take 100+ people with you? I think that crosses the line of a terrorist act. Here's the latest:

Investigators raid Germanwings co-pilot's homes as questions surround mental state | Fox News

Bild reported that Lubitz spent 18 months receiving psychiatric treatment, was diagnosed with a "severe depressive episode," and received what it called a "special regular medical examination." The report added that investigators were examining whether Lubitz was suffering from a "personal life crisis", including the possibility that there were problems in his relationship with his girlfriend.

I didn't say nor was I hoping that he was Muslim.

Just stating that IF he is, it will be called everything BUT a terrorist act.

I would venture to say that committing suicide while taking 150 people with you crosses the line of a terrorist act...

How quickly you seem to forget that many of our social and economic issues we have in this country today are here because of generations like yours.

Every generation says that the younger generations are horrible and are ruining everything. And then throw in the inevitable "this country is going down the drain" because of the politics of those in power.

...nope, ...tail end of "gen-x", ...so, haven't had the chance to screw things up yet, ...and, ultimately probably won't have anywhere as near an influence as the baby boomers

... i'd have to say the major shafting has been done by the baby boomer generation, ...including the subcultures like the "counter culture", ..i.e. the same bunch of folks who spit and cussed at drafted military personnel returning from Vietnam...
