Gas Stolen
I guess the prices for gas is getting too high for some people.
Filled up the tank on the DD last night. When to work this morning and the tank was just under 3/4
Damn thieves siphoned gas out of my tank in the driveway right next to the front door and bedroom window.
They are lucky I didn't catch them, they would have had a pistol right in their face.

i cant believe some people, how bad do you have it to start stealing gas, commiting a crime for 45 bucks at the most.
doesnt make sense to me, not worth the risk, if you're gonna steal something at least make it something worth while

it is weird . You go to some gas stations and they say the drive offs are real bad , others say that it never happens to them....

locking gas caps dont stop the bastards from stealing gas. there was an article in the local newspaper last week about cars parked overnight at a tire store that had the gas tanks punched opened and drained the gas

Well at 50 dollars a pop and it only being a misdemeanor if they got caught.. some people are that hardup and figure its worth the risk..
The ones without driveoffs might have more external cameras... may have pay first signs .. and back in Virginia its state law if you get caught pumping and pulling off they take your license no questions asked.
yea but its a definite deterrant for the local neighborhood dipshit just randomly looking for easy targets.

I was thinking of getting a locking cap since this shit went on many years ago during the gas crunch of the 70's. Now I am getting one for sure. Thanks for the reminder and sorry you got ripped off.

I though all of the newer gas tanks in cars had an anti-siphon feature??
Must be easier to get around it than I thought...
