    gall bladder removed

Hey, you talking about painful experience.I had my gall bladder removed with two stones the size of small grapes taken out of me ,early Sun. morning. The surgeons threw in a hernia repair at the same time.I was in agony for 12 hours.

I remember a guy came to me "hey doc my stomach hurts" , I said " go take some maalox"

the next day I found out he had his gall bladder removed -

    Lesson learned:

If a guy needs to have his gall bladder removed, maalox won't work.

iac - hope you get better soon bro

Thanks for the best wishes. The surgeons gave me high quality color pics of the swollen bladder and surrounding tissue.Plus i have the stones in a jar.I think the stones definately took out that bladder.I'll be on my back resting for the next coupla weeks along with taking the meds.

Mine was completely calcified when it was removed, basically non-functional. The doctors wondered how I hadn't had a gall bladder attack. In my case, surgery was quick and easy, and one week later I went to an Avalanche game, taking perks and drinking some brews!

Hope you heal equally as quick!

I'm just lying around watching tv, going online and eating light. My wife's been taking good care of me.I'm real lucky. You don't know whats gonna happen till the shit hits the fan,it definitely coulda been worse. There's a lot people in hospitals that don't have anyone to look out for them.

Just be glad that there have been advances in medicine....they used to cut you open pretty good to remove gall bladders. My dad has his removed and all they did was make a few holes for the tools and cameras and pulled the bladder out his belly button. He said it hurt like a bitch for half a day.....then the next day it was like it never happened.
