    Fucking trams am pos god damnit

    Alright, so I had my car in mechanic for 72 fucking days to get transmission fixed. Well I have had it for what three weeks maybe. WELL guess what fucking happens today. Lah Lah Lah, driving along doing 50 through the busiest fucking street in town. SNAP! SCREEECH! ABS Light, LOW TRAC light. Horrible noise. Came to a stop in the middle of the busiest fucking interection in fucking town. Guess what, my wheel fell off. And when I say that, I mean the FUCKING wheel, fell the FUCK off. All the studs sheered right off. The rotor went around the wheel enough times it is fucking destroyed. C fucking 6 fucking z06 rim destroyed. Lugs are lost. Cops called a tow truck, I called a friend and got a ride home. To fucking pissed to do anything right now.

    Seriously, a fucking wheel. WTF. I torque them to 100lbs with anti-seize every time. So wtf. It was driver side rear. I wonder if that fucking mechanic had to take off the wheels to drop tranny. I am going to put my torque wrench on that fucking other wheel when I get down there. And if it is like 150 or something. I am going to go down there and stick my fucking foot up his fucking ass.

    1100 insurance this month, 910 three weeks ago for tranny fix, + w/e this costs, I am over two fucking grand in one fucking month.

    Wheel = Totaled
    Rotor = Totaled
    Studs = Lost
    Lugs = Lost
    Other damage I didn't have time to inspect cause of fucking jackasses honking and driving by me.

    I'm going to end up doing something I fucking regret today I can feel it...

    Don't use anti-seize. That can definitely cause improper torque. I had a co-worker torquing a lug nut that had anti-seize, and it just kept going, and eventually snapped the stud. The torque wrench just never clicked. Friction is needed on a lug/stud assembly, and anti-seize can definitely nullify that. I'd say take off all your wheels, and clean that stuff off the studs and threads of the lug nuts.

    100 ft. lbs. is definitely the right torque for your car, but having the lubricated stud/lug can easily cause it to be torqued at way more, and even less than 100 ft. lbs.

    +1...i've never used anti-sieze on lugs before and I can say it never even crossed my mind.

    Damn man. That sucks, but I don't think its worth getting all worked up over. Look at the bright side you are still breathing and not everyone that went to bed last night can say that.

    lol, sorry. Just figured something else had to break. Maybe it landed on an illegal that softened the blow and didn't damage anything else.
