front driver side head light wont go down

On my 99 Formula my drivers side pop up headlight wont go down. The motor on it will make it go up and down all the way but motor keeps trying to pull it down even though its all the way down already. It sits flush then the motor just goes eeeeeeeehhhhhhhh. Is there a button that lets the motor know its down when it hits it? I can see the two bump stops on it, 1 on top and 1 on bottom, but its hitting these. PLEASE HELP ME.

You need a new motor.... or at least a new gear.... some guy on eBay sells brass gears that are supposed to last alot longer. My brother just bought a couple for his 95 T/A.
