Fresh Veggies
Its the time of year where around here everyone has more vegetables that they can eat. So anyway, I found out from an old woman that all these years Ive been cooking corn wrong, boiling it in salt water. She told me ooh no, use sugar not salt and she was right it makes corn much better. Anyone else tried this?

That old woman must be a Yankee.
All yankee's know to use sugar, not salt. You could really learn something from us.

I sprinkle ExLax on my corn. Shit like a goose. Stupid Yankee's putting sugar on their corn.....haven't they heard of East Texas Sweet Corn? Makes damn good liquor. Shit will make you go blind....and if you follow my lead you'll be blind with a pant load of shit.

Yep sugar. Just cooked some for dinner yesterday. Our Farmers market just opened and got a nice jar of honey.

You also have to be sure not to overcook corn. If you are going to boil your corn (I prefer grilling also) make sure you only are boiling it 8-10 min. MAX, longer than that and you are overcooking. I'm from Jersey by the way, home of the best corn as well as tomatoes, asparagus, and berries in the country.

salt here. And I'm from NY
Best way is butter it, salt and pepper, then wrap it in alluminum foil. Throw it on the grill untill its done.
Yummy.

Grilled is by far the best way to do corn.
Only old ladies boil it....
