They won't win since the injury she got from the 4 year olds wasn't related to her death. Case closed! Only issue is that the justice system will allow something like this.

    Pretty much......

It really is, how can a judge even sit up there and calmly explain how they will allow a 4 year old to be sued without thinking to himself.... wow have i really become this big of a piece of shit, is this really what our legal system has come to? My daughter only has 1 more year before she can be sued. damn

I can read just fine It seems they brought the lawsuit after she died, if the lady wanted to sue then she would have brought the suit on earlier. She didn't and its the family. They won't see any money for this but its a good try. I highly doubt a police report was done at the time of the accident also.

EDIT: After re-reading the article, I don't understand why the parents of the girl were not held accountable if anyone. Police training taught me anything with minors should be re-directed towards the legal guardian. (Depending on different things of course) Pretty much punk ass bitches trying to get more money.....greedy fucks!

This is the reason why I allowed a 70 something year old man's car battery to die.

Coming in to work I noticed a Lexus parked with its headlights and dome lights on. The drivers side door was not fully closed. I thought about opening the door and and turning the headlight off and then locking up the car, but in my head all I can think of is how messed up our country is and I can be accused to breaking into the car. I said F*ck it and went on my way to work.

During lunch I went to my car and I noticed the same Lexus being jump started by a tow truck company.

Why be a good Samaritan when I can be accused of anything these days.

I can be sued for breaking someone's ribs while performing CPR just because I am a medical professional. talk about the biggest Bull Sh*t.

actually if you read the story it shows that the judge simply allowed the lawsuit to go forward, it doesnt allow 4 year olds to get sued. Maybe you guys shouldnt be swayed by the media so easily mmkay

that's what I was saying, the four year old can be sued, doesn't mean they will win the case

Apparently you don't know how case law works. This judge's decision to allow the suit to go forward, by default, is creating a legal precedent allowing children over the age of four to be sued for negligent behavior. That is, IMHO, a bad precedent to set.

I agree sueing a 4yr old is pretty extreme, but at what point do we start teaching responsibility for ones actions?

My quick read, only saw that the judge stated it was legal to sue a 4yr old... to me this is stating that they need to accept some responsibility for their actions... this i agree with. Now what do you sue a 4yr old for... her bike?

While the article gives not details as to the background of the case, so all the details of why and for how much they are sueing for is left up to the imagination.

no its not but good try though. The precedent will be set by the final outcome of the case nothing more.

    Quick question...

Can we execute them at 4 then too? Or is that still just in Texas?
