Said that to my dad. He always had at least a side arm when on base as a officer. Either a 45 or 9 depending if he was gonna be in the office all day. Wonder if these guys are just going to areas that dont have many armed people or if in general less people are carrying on bases now.

this always worried me when I worked on the arsenal...we weren't allowed to take anything on to the base "which I think is crazy". If you forgot a gun in your car/truck for some odd reason you were looking at some serious charges if you got caught.

We have some of the best trained military people in the world but we cant let them carry on a base...?

military bases are giant "gun-free-zones", ...seriously... that's the policy...

    Sadly now demodded :(

I'm guessing that Sp4 Lopez had a serious "case of the ass" when he did this.

You present and former military folks will know what I mean...

FWIW, they didn't allow us to carry either (unless you were going to the range or hunting) when I was in the Army 40 years ago. You could have a personal firearm but it had to be checked in with the company Armorer.

Why do these fucking cowards always do shit like this? Just take your own life, leave everyone else out of it.

He was no brother of mine, I'd piss on his grave giving a chance....

This POS lived off base, no requirement to register with the MP's as long as it stays off base. Only if you plan on using it at the range are you required to do so.

Even his command can't force him to report it. Only exception is if you live on post in housing or barracks. Then there are a ton of BS rules....

Tired of politicians treating the best train warriors in the world as a rabid pit-bull that must stay on a lease & cage while stateside.

ALSO THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF A WORKPLACE SHOOTING, 2009 WAS A TERRORIST ATTACK!!!
