It is a little different concept, but results in a great (better) taste. With these grills you can smoke food as well. There is no direct flame so you will not burn your food. I love smoking turkey, jerky, sausage, and even adding a little smoke to my chicken. For steak it is just as fast as charcoal, and I love the taste. My parents and a buddy have one, and I just bought the Smith & Wesson 38 special. I love it, I got Rib-eyes out for dinner tonight! I picked up the grill and a quarter beef in the same trip.
