Mystic Teal- 99 Trans Am & 01 CBR 929
Finally got the bird painted! Also new Mecham Hood
After years of ugly aftermarket rims and a busted front bumper I finally have updated pics for everyone. I had an incident with the hood.. It seemed to want to fight with the windshield so my old raptor hood was destroyed and I thought change wouldnt be a bad thing despite what I heard about the "fitment issues" of the Mecham hood. So 3600$ later Maaco produced one hell of a paint job and fit the Mecham hood better than I ever could have imagined.
Hood-1000$ (with shipping)
Paint Job (whole car)- 2600$
Included best prep work offered. Spent a couple days just fitting the hood perfect. Mystic Teal paint with small amount of metallic flake. 2 coats of clear. 1 coat of weather protectant. Also included price of brand new front bumper.
Let me know what yall think.

Maaco can do anything you want them to, it all comes down to $$
Most ppl see the 300 dollar specials that roll out of there and think... ooohh maaco sux - for 300 dollars you bet it will suck
my buddy had an old jetta, he did all the body work, sanded it down, took off the bumpers, door handles, trim etc and got maaco to paint it. $1000 bucks and it looked like a $5000 paint job from any other body shop.
I took a tonneau cover to them for my truck and told them to paint it, they took my paint code and said it would be about a week. Buddy called me at 8am the next day and told me to come get it - fuckin thing matched perfectly!
I wouldnt take a 40k+ car to them, but for most things... they do excellent work for the right price.

Yep.. Ya get what ya paid for. They get supplies cheaper than any other competition since they are a national change and they pass that savings on to you. Of course most people take shit cars in for shit paint jobs and get what they paid for. I paid 2600$ and 2200 of that was just supplies and labor. They couls have charged me much more for the hours they put into it but cut me a hell of a break + a 10% discount since I am deployed right now. Also they saw an opportunity with my car to show they could do good work since I am big into car shows and local clubs when im home. Not to mention the amount of time she spends at the track lol. They said they will hook me up and just to put out there name when people ask where I got it done.
