Hated to see a rookie blow it on the final lap.

Cheered outloud when Jr. ran out of fuel.

Before all the Jr. Lemmings increase their post counts, I have no issue with a driver who can garner notoriety and sponsors based upon performance. Even getting your foot in the door because of being some one "special" is OK too.

But at some point in time, they actually have to perform to the massive expectations they've created for themselves.

As long as he had Sr. and DEI feeding his racing team, he had great results.

But about a year after his Dad's death, his performance began a slow decline. Even his suragate father, Rick Hendrick hasn't been able to spoon feed him into the winner's circle.

Their contrived relationship is based upon money and sponsorship money alone.

See Jr's post race interview? Not one mention of his sponsors ... hmmm.

Hamilton vs. Shumacher. With such a small course the passes were harry.

read my post before that one .. and it kinda gives it away when the title of the vid has pole lap in it ...and this thread is not about F1..

I read your post before that, which was inaccurate. There is actually a good bit of passing in F1. It's not nearly as much as in NASCAR, but it's a lot harder to pass in F1 than in NASCAR, if that's what you're comparing it to?

In F1, you have to turn left and right. In NASCAR, you just kinda drive past someone pretty much anywhere since the track isnt too complicated.

Here's what Montoya says about Nascar vs F1.......

“It’s boring,” Montoya said. “It’s a shame because the technology these cars have and the amount of companies that are involved is unreal. I don’t know how big companies do it for such a long time without results.”

In Nascar, there are more than 40 cars racing wheel to wheel for up to three hours. “It’s harder here,” Montoya said. “When you run fifteenth, sometimes you think it sucks. But look at the big picture: fifteenth here is like sixth or seventh in F1, because there are twice as many cars. The incredible thing is here I run fifteenth or twentieth on average and there are four or five weeks in the year where I have a chance of winning. In F1 if you run sixth or seventh, you run sixth or seventh the whole year. “It doesn’t matter if you’re running for the lead, or for 30th, you’re always racing somebody. That’s much better.”

Sure, some of the F1 tracks may be harder but I will GUARANTEE you this......driving a state of the art F1 car is A LOT easier to drive than a 3400lb Nascar.

nice catch there KD .. but why does everyone think the only 2 series are NASCAR or F1 ??
Im sure in the pack there is passing going on , but for the lead 80% of the time only way it changes hands is when someone pits .. I always wait for the GP of Monaco .. I tried to watch it both times it came on and both put me to sleep ...
