Few pics I snapped of Memphis Belle
Shot these yesterday. They were giving rides in the plane. $450 a pop . I chose to just get a few pics instead. They're all unedited, so excuse the quality.

2001 3.8 Black - sold- 2000 SS Black M6
pretty awesome either way...keeping those planes in the air is pricey, id consider that a deal. Last WWII show I went to had B-29 rides for about 700, and P-51 rides for 2K

Yeah no doubt expensive. They tour around with this plane which is cool. I'm not sure if the guy is still around, but there's a guy in Denver who owns a P51, who told me if I donated 1000$ to some charity he'd take me up. I was (and still am) incredibly tempted.
thanks wiley

I wouldn't say it's a hobby of mine or anything but I'm into the old planes. Been to a bunch of shows here locally and Dayton has a pretty kick ass air museum out there. Took Zach a few years ago and we saw Bockscar which was the plane that dropped Fatman on Nagasaki. There's also just loads of other cool shit out there. One of my favorite sections is the "cold war" era planes. There were some huge planes that came out during that era.....massive wingspans. I took Zach to see the Mustangs and Legends show in Columbus 5-6 years ago too that was really cool. I think it was 51 P51's and most had ww2 vet pilots flying them. Cool stuff. There's so much history in those old planes.

I'm assuming you're talking about the air force museum at wright Patterson. And I'd guess the massive plane you're talking about was the B-36. I just looked at the website and see that they have one there, along with a shitload more Our air and space museum cant quite compare, but it is cool nonetheless.

I need to make another trip back out there with him now that he's a little older. I think he'd appreciate it more now. It's an all day affair just to get through it all. When we went last time I was exhausted by the time we got to the end which was one of the cooler spots.....they have a lot of the old rockets and stuff at the end in the space section. I gotta get back out there soon.

Great pictures, 5.0. I love US history and to have a chance to be up close to a piece of it like that is always memorable.

Our local warplane museum is small, but they have some impressive displays.

Nice pics, fellas. For the record, I'm an aviation buff myself. I was an aircraft mechanic in the Marine reserves for six years, working on the F-18 Hornet

The Little Rock Air Force Base (In Jacksonville) is just a few hours away. They are home to the C-130's. It has been quite a few years since I have gone to a show there but they always put on a good one.
