    Favorite Band thread

Post your favorite band and the music genre they are in, as someone may not know who
    they are.

Dont know if this has ever been done on here, but let me know if it has.

    I'll start:

My favorite band is Dream Theater - Progressive.

Damn it's hard to choose. Dream Theater is high on the list but they've only been around for the last 20 years or so. When you get to be my age you've seen a lot come and go. There were bands that were equally as good before such as: ELP, Yes and my favorite Rush. Really hard to choose just 1.

And yes, I prefer "intellectual" music like progressive but I enjoy other generes as well, metal being just one of them. Big band jazz gets me going as well.

Love those guys. Saw them play with Kreator.

I saw Dream Theater a few times too.

Gotta go with either Rage Against the Machine or Pantera though. RIP Dime. Wish i would of gotten a chance to seem them play.

Pantera (saw them twice) and Damageplan both put on great shows. I saw Darrel and Vinnie play about 2 months before Darrel was shot. Was close enough to the stage when Damageplan played to catch shots from the bottle.

Thats awesome!! Such a shame that they'll never be able to play together again.

If it weren't for the Mustang I would think we are related. Noone else ever heard of them. Saw LOA at the Stone Pony in the mid 90s. There were like 5 opening bands. One of them was Pissed On...actually pretty good.

no. but LOA i think is a new york/new jersey thing. lot of people dont know who the fuck they are, people that say they like hardcore. then they list bands that suck. I heard LOA is back together.

River Runs Red is a great album

Favorite song by Korn as well.
The skit at the beginning is cool.
I'm sure you've heard their remake of Word Up. I think it's pretty cool.

Just to show you how old I am. I saw Korn open up for Marilyn Manson(sp) who opened up for Danzig at the Count Baisie(sp) theatre. manson has shirts that look like the Salvation Army logo/shield but they say "The Satanic Army"

    Minor Threat anyone
